This tsuba features a folding screen design in sukashi (openwork) on an iron plate. The screen is adorned with karakusa (arabesque) with paulownia crests, hydrangeas, bellflowers, and bush clover, all inlaid with kin-nunome-zogan (gold fabric-grain inlay). The rim is bordered with a wave pattern in gold nunome-zogan, and the side of the rim shines with a golden color. This is a splendid Kyo-Kenjo tsuba in excellent condition.
