Description

This is a tsuba featuring a design of mandarin ducks and white herons. It is attributed to the Kyoto Shoami school and dates to the early Edo period. The tsuba is made of shinchu (brass) with a stone texture and features high relief carving, inlay with colored metal, and openwork in the shape of boar's eye. It comes with a certificate of preservation for sword fittings.
