Description

This is a katana attributed to Uda Tomotsugu, an Etchu smith active in the early Muromachi period. Despite being greatly shortened (o-suriage), it retains the characteristic tachi shape of the early Muromachi period. The blade features a flowing itame hada and a nie-deki suguha hamon mixed with small gunome.
