Description

This is a tsuba made by Hidekuni of the Tenkodo school in the late Edo period. It features a shibuichi ground with a shogoin shape, sukashi carving, kebori gold inlay, and a line-zogan corner ear with a polished finish. The tsuba depicts vines, birds, foxes, and an emperor holding a bow and arrow, creating a unique atmosphere reminiscent of Nanban tsuba.
