Description

This katana is signed by Hoki no Kami Fujiwara Hirotaka, a prominent swordsmith from the Echizen Shimosaka school during the early Edo period. He was an apprentice of Kanetane and received the honorable title of Hoki no Kami. The blade is appraised as a Hozon Token by NBTHK, indicating it is well-preserved and of high quality with artistic value; however, there are some Kitae Kizu and black rust present.
