説明

This is a very well forged Daito made by Kanesada in the Genroku era(1688-1704). The overall shape of this sword is very elegant and has a lovely curvature. The sword has been submitted to the NTHK and passed shinsa with higher level Kanteisho papers. This is a diamond in the rough and it is recommended to be professionally polished. The hada is a fine itame and can be seen through out. The hamon is a vibrant gunome choji midare that is very well done and shows many hataraki/activity within it. It is literately peppered with Ara-nie and ko-nie. Sunagashi appears. This longish sword is ubu and comes mounted in an older shirasaya. Kanesada is a very well respected name and many smiths went by this name but this sword is signed specifically as ” Noda Guro Fujiwara Kanesada “. This swords signature makes it very interesting and is not common to find. The Mino swordsmiths were renowned for making very good cutting swords and these blades were well sought after by the samurai of the day. This Daito is a fine collectable example from the early Shinto period.A few words on the condition of this very collectable sword:We recommend highly that this sword be polished. The areas on the blade that are stained and have rust should polish out without a problem. This sword fully polished will more than likely have absolutely no blemishes and be spectacular to view. After polishing this sword we recommend it to be put into koshirai for the new owner. We strongly feel that this will be a highly prized Daito after restoration and mounting into samurai mounts. NTHK(日本刀剣保存会)は、NBTHK(1948年設立)に先立つ1910年に創立された、日本で最も古い刀剣鑑定団体です。長く会を率いた会長の没後、NTHKとNTHK-NPOの二つに分かれ、いずれも審査を続けています。NTHKの鑑定書は、点数と審査員の所見を併記する詳細な審査表が特徴で、特に無銘作の極めに定評があります。
