This is a fine modern katana by Akamatsu Taro Kaneteru, a renowned swordsmith from Kumamoto. It features a beautifully forged ko-itame hada with a magnificent jūka-chōji hamon. This sword is unused new old stock, carefully stored for many years, and remains in exceptionally fine condition with a well-balanced, long blade, ready for immediate use in Iaido.
