This is a katana made by Kanemichi, whose real name is Ikuo Kojima, residing in Seki, Gifu Prefecture. He is a representative modern Mino school smith, active since 1981 and a continuous award winner at the New Master Swordsmith Exhibition. The blade comes with a black lacquered uchigatana koshirae and is suitable for iai and tameshigiri.
