Description

This is a Juyo Token designated wakizashi by Omi Daijo Tadahiro, the second generation head of the Hizen school, who was active during the Edo period. It features a wide body and an extended length, characteristic of Tadahiro's larger hirazukuri wakizashi. The jigane exhibits a fine ko-itame hada with minute ji-nie and abundant chikei, forming the distinctive 'konuka hada' of the Hizen school. The hamon is a suguha with ko-ashi, yo, kin-suji, and sunagashi, showcasing rich activity.
