This is a Juyo Token designated katana by Musashi Daijo Korekazu, an important smith of the Edo period's Edo Ishido school. Known for his flamboyant choji midare hamon, this piece is a superb example of his work. It is the only Juyo Token designated piece by this smith, highly prized since ancient times, and features a sayagaki by Honma Kunzan.
