Description

This antique Japanese Katana is signed by Musashi Daijo Korekazu, believed to be the first generation of the Edo Ishido school, active during the early Edo period (1648-1673). The blade comes with an NBTHK Hozon Certificate, a shirasaya case, and a koshirae mounting featuring a tiger-themed menuki and a raden-inlaid saya. The sword is a well-preserved example of the Edo Ishido school's work, founded by Korekazu after moving from Omi province to Edo.
