Description

This is a Choshu school tsuba from the Edo period, signed by Hisatsugu. It features an openwork design of millet ears (awaho sukashi) on a well-forged iron ground, enhanced with thick gold nunome-zogan (fabric-grain inlay) that shines brightly. The tsuba has a round shape with a single hitsu-ana. There is minor rust present, which can be improved with care.
