Description

This antique Japanese katana features a Kinzogan Mei (gold inlay signature) attributing it to Kanemoto, a smith from the Mino province. Appraised by the NBTHK as Hozon, the blade is believed to have been forged during the early Edo period (Shinto era) and exhibits the characteristic Sanbon Sugi tempering line. It comes with a full koshirae mounting, shirasaya, and a traditional sword carrying case.
