This katana was forged by Myoitsu Inshu Jyu Hosetsu Nyudo Kanesaki during the Tenpo era (1830-1844), towards the end of the Edo period. It is certified as Tokubetsu Hozon by the NBTHK, indicating its high quality and artistic value. The blade features a cutting edge length of 67.2 cm and a curvature of 1.7 cm, and comes with a koshirae mounting and shirasaya case.
