This is a kozuka made by Iwamoto Konkan. Konkan embraced the carving techniques of Yasuchika from the Nara School, creating a unique aesthetic marrying the best of both traditions. This piece incorporates a detailed execution of a pot hanger on a textured surface, and a unique pattered reverse.
