Description

This is a kogai (hairpin) featuring an auspicious rice ear design, symbolizing a bountiful harvest and prosperity. It is signed by Yoshioka Inaba no Suke, a prestigious family of tosogu makers who served the Tokugawa Shogunate throughout the Edo period. The piece is made of shakudo nanako-ji with high-relief gold iroe decoration and has been certified Hozon by the NBTHK.
