This listing features a katana made by Kusano Yoshiaki, who was from Inaba province and studied under Gassan Sadakatsu in Osaka. Yoshiaki was known for his skill in blade carving and left behind many excellent works from the Ansei to early Meiji periods. The blade is dated Keio Gannen (1865), placing it in the late Edo period.
