Kanbun (1661-1673)
This is a wakizashi made by 2nd generation Yoshimichi from Settsu province during the early Edo period (Kanbun era). He was known for his excellent craftsmanship, inheriting the techniques of his father and creating blades with distinctive temper lines. He was later employed by Honda Tadakuni, the lord of Himeji Domain, and was respectfully called "Himeji Daiwa."
