This listing is for a tachi made by smith Yasutake Yakuwa, who was born in Yamagata Prefecture in 1909. He studied under Yasumitsu Ikeda at the Nihonto Tanrenjo in Yasukuni Shrine, Tokyo. In 1982, he created a large tachi over four shaku long, inscribed with "Ichigo Ichifuri Nari," which won the Masamune Award at the Modern Sword Exhibition.
