Description

This is a tsuba (sword guard) made by Kongosai Gassan in Kyoto, Yamashiro province during the Late Edo period. It features a design of lucky charms (Kissho mon) in iron with high relief carving and gold inlay. The tsuba comes with a kiri (paulownia) box and a Hozon certificate from the NBTHK.
