Description

This is a tsuba with a lotus and heron design (Ichiro Renka), unsigned, from the Goto Ichijo school. It dates to the Late Edo period and is made of iron with high relief carving and inlay. The tsuba depicts a waterside scene with lotus, heron, irises, and water lilies, symbolizing good fortune and success.
