This is a Gendaito katana by Sesshu-ju Shigenori, a renowned smith from Hyogo Prefecture, dated Heisei 17 (2005). It features a distinctive "hadamono" jihada with a notare-gunome hamon and is well-suited for tameshigiri due to its long tang and excellent balance. The blade comes with a complete koshirae in good condition, though the blade itself is in an old polish with some haziness.
