This katana, signed Narinori and dated Heisei 4 (1992), is a modern blade by smith Utaka Tokio, known for making swords suitable for Iaido. It features a healthy blade with a beautiful masame-nagare itame-majiri hada and clear nioiguchi. The sword comes with an uchigatana koshirae made with antique fittings, making it a versatile choice for various martial arts practices.

We could not find an authenticity certificate on the seller’s listing. Japanese swords and fittings are normally papered by the NBTHK (or the NTHK). Without one, the attribution is the seller’s own assessment and has not been independently verified — treat it with caution and ask the dealer about certification before buying.
