About the school
Chiyozuru School千代鶴派
This katana is attributed to Chiyozuru Morihiro of the Chiyozuru school, which flourished in Echizen province from the late Nanbokucho period through the Muromachi period. The blade features a bright, straight temper line (suguha) with some itame hada. Despite being significantly shortened (osuriage), the blade retains a substantial width and is in very sound condition.
