Modern sword Yoshida Kauzunari with Koshirae and Shirosaya吉田一斉。詳細は不明ながら、「関」刻印を消した痕跡、桧垣鑢、尖り互の目などから、戦前の関刀匠と推察される一振りです。昭和13~14年頃の作と思われ、小板目肌がよく詰み、直刃の焼き出しから互の目へと展開する粋な刃文を見せます。刀身は研ぎ上がりに近い良好な状態。令和3年頃製作の白鞘・拵が付き、縁頭は江戸時代、鞘は根来塗り。居合・試斬からコレクションまでおすすめの一振りです。Yoshida Kazunari. Although little is known about this swordsmith, traces of a removed “Seki” stamp, higaki-yasurime, and pointed gunome suggest that he was active in Seki before the war.Likely made around 1938–1939, the blade features a finely forged ko-itame jihada and an elegant hamon developing from suguha yakidashi into gunome.The blade remains in excellent, near-fresh polish. It comes with a shirasaya and koshirae made around 2021, featuring Edo-period fuchi-kashira and a Negoro-nuri saya.
