This is a wan-gata tsuba (bowl-shaped guard) made by Kunihiro. The tsuba is made of iron and features interlocking swastika patterns and tsuru-no-maru mon (family crests) of the Mori clan. It is thought that these wan-gata tsuba were made primarily by armorers in the 17th and 18th centuries.
