His style did not focus on flamboyant carving or precise zogan, but rather he is evaluated as a tsubako who mass-produced tetsu tsuba of ordinary quality, making him an interesting figure when considering practical tetsu tsuba produced for actual use on sword mountings at that time. This work is a muji tsuba with a tetsu-ji fashioned into a kaku-gata shape with rounded corners, and while hitsu-ana are pierced on the left and right, no other motifs are placed. Although relatively small with a nagasa of 70.2 mm and a width of 65.5 mm, it has a seppa-dai thickness of 5.75 mm and a weight of 137.5 grams, giving it considerable thickness and a sense of volume; by eliminating decoration, the texture and heaviness of the tetsu-ji itself stand out. A two-character mei for "Kunihiro" is cut beside the seppa-dai, and the surface retains rubbing and hits from many years of use.
