This is a powerful tachi by the contemporary swordsmith Kazuhira, who studied under Living National Treasure Miyairi Akihira. Made in 1992, it features a wide blade, thick kasane, and deep curvature with bo-hi carvings. The blade exhibits well-forged ko-itame hada and a hamon of gunome-midare mixed with choji-midare, showcasing the smith's excellent workmanship.
