This is a katana signed by Kurihara Hikosaburō Akihide, made in Showa 9 (1934). The blade is modeled after the classic Ichimonji style of the Kamakura period, featuring small gunome mixed with Chōji. It has a gold foiled single layer habaki and is preserved in Shirasaya with Sayagaki written by Amata Akitsugu.
