This katana is by Munetsugu, an active smith in Wakasa province during the Middle Muromachi period (Eishō era). It features a robust form with a long kissaki and a light feel due to the bo-hi carved on both sides. The jigane shows well-forged masame with ji-nie and chikei, characteristic of koto. The hamon is a bright, clear suguha with thick nie and strong kinsuji, displaying rich activity within a quiet pattern. It comes with a Tokubetsu Kicho Token certificate and shirasaya.
