This is a katana made by Hidemune, also known as Matsubara Hidemune, born in 1930 and passed away in 2007. He trained under Kawashima Masahide and Nakata Kanehide, specializing in gunome choji hamon. The blade features a small itame hada and a notare hamon, with a hira-zukuri form and a bo-hi carving. It comes with a koshirae featuring a dark blue silk tsukamaki, black ishime saya, a sansui-zu tsuba, Higo sakura fuchi-kashira, and phoenix menuki.
