This listing from Ginza Choshuya features a katana signed by Hidemune, a smith from Seki, Gifu Prefecture. Born in Showa 5 (1930) as the son of Matsubara Kanekichi, Hidemune studied under Nakata Kanehide (an army-commissioned swordsmith) and focused on reproducing Soshu-den techniques. He has received continuous awards at new sword exhibitions and has also recreated the vibrant style of Bizen Ichimonji with reverse choji hamon.
