This is an unsigned shinshintō tantō, attributed to a Kanemoto smith from the late Edo period. It features an itame-hada jigane with a distinctive sanbonsugi hamon. The blade comes with an aikuchi koshirae from the Meiji period, adorned with a splendid gold maki-e hollyhock crest on the saya, and also includes a shirasaya.
