This is a rare collaborative katana by the 3rd generation Iga no Kami Kinmichi and the 4th generation Tanba no Kami Yoshimichi, both master smiths from Kyoto. The blade features a wide body, thick kasane, high sori, and a chu-kissaki, characteristic of the Genroku era. The jigane is a vibrant itame-hada with thick ji-nie and bold chikei, while the hamon starts with a long yakidashi, transitioning into a Shizu-style gunome with shallow notare, kinsuji, and sunagashi on the omote, and a suren-ba style with shallow notare, gunome, yubashiri, kinsuji, and sunagashi on the ura. It comes with a gold-foiled double habaki and a shirasaya with calligraphy by Dr. Sato Kanzan, and is certified as Tokubetsu Hozon by the NBTHK.
