This is an unsigned iron tsuba by Kyo Shoami from the early Edo period, featuring a 'Shiguretei' (Autumn Shower Pavilion) openwork design. The iron plate has a good forge and deep rust color. The intricate hair-carving and gold nunome-zogan on the roof evoke the atmosphere of an autumn shower, making it a deeply tasteful piece.
