This is an unsigned Akasaka tsuba from the mid-Edo period, featuring a sukashi (openwork) design of the 'Hachinoki' story. The iron tsuba is in chrysanthemum shape with ji-sukashi and kebori (hairline carving), and a maru-mimi (round rim). It has been certified as Hozon Tosogu by the NBTHK in 2024.
