Description

This fuchi-kashira features a dynamic cloud dragon design, crafted by Jyochiku, a master who inherited the techniques and sensibilities of the first generation. Made in the late Edo period in Musashi province, it utilizes flat inlay techniques with various colored metals like gold, silver, shakudo, and suaka on a shibuichi ground. The intricate nashiji inlay adds depth to the clouds, while the dragon's protruding claws and wide-open eyes create a striking impression.
