It received the Second Seat of the Excellence Award at the Shinsaku Meitō-ten exhibition in 1989. The blade features a powerful form, finely forged jigane, and an expressive gunome-chōji hamon, complemented by a koshirae made by Mukansa-ranked scabbard craftsman Maeda-sensei, incorporating Edo-period fittings.
