Description

This is an unsigned Ko-Shoami sukashi tsuba from the mid-Muromachi period. It features a symmetrical design with openwork of 'Tenchi Kugimuki' (heaven and earth nail pullers) and 'Hanabishi Mon' (diamond-shaped flower crests) on the left and right. The iron plate has gold and silver nunome-zogan (fabric-grain inlay) and is certified Hozon by the NBTHK.
