Description

A kozuka with a high-relief design of a chestnut tree and a squirrel on a shakudō nanako ground, decorated with gold iroe. Made by Ko-goto school in Late Muromachi period. The thick base metal gives it a pleasant, well-balanced weight, while the patina developed through age adds to its rich character and charm.
