This is a tanto made by Masamine, a Living National Treasure from Ishikawa Prefecture. It features a beautiful reverse choji midare hamon reminiscent of Aoe style, with a finely grained jigane. The blade edge is adorned with pure white nie, resembling summer cumulonimbus clouds. This piece was featured in the 'Special Exhibition Living National Treasure Sumitani Masamine'.
