This is a well-preserved tanto made around the mid-Edo period by Jumyo, a renowned swordsmith active in Owari Province. The blade is uniformly sharpened with no flaws, exhibiting excellent preservation. The hamon exhibits different expressions on each side, with a dynamic sakasa-choji style on one side and a gentle notare pattern on the other.
