Description

Fuchi kashira with Kanjincho design, made by Sourin at the age of 83. The set depicts the scene from the Kabuki play Kanjincho, where Benkei helps Yoshitsune escape. The iron is finished with a fine ishime ground, and the details are carved in high relief with gold inlay.
