【Product Description】 Blade Classification: Wakizashi Mei: Mumei (Den: Enju) Appraisal: NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon Token Nagasa: 45.1 cm Sori: 1.0 cm Motohaba: 2.8 cm Sakihaba: 2.0 cm Motokasane: 0.6 cm Sakikasane: 0.4 cm Mekugi-ana: 2 Weight: 405g (blade only) [Sugata] Shinogi-zukuri, Iori-mune. The nagasa is standard, the sori is shallow, and the chu-kissaki is slightly extended. [Jigane] Itame-hada mixed with mokume-hada, becoming fine and dense. The ji-nie is thick, and the shirake-utsuri is visible. [Hamon] Based on a gentle chu-suguba with a slight ko-gunome mix. The nioiguchi is bright and clear with fine nie. The ashi and yo are active, and the sunagashi and kinsuji appear within the ha. [Boshi] Straight with a small, rounded kaeri. [Koshirae] Black Ishime-ji Lacquer Uchigatana Koshirae Tsuba: Mokko-gata, iron base with gold nunome-zogan. Fuchigashira: Shakudo nanako-ji, autumn insects design, takabori, iro-e. They served as the exclusive swordsmiths for the Kikuchi clan and flourished from the Nanbokucho period through the Muromachi period. This work is attributed to the Enju school. The jigane shows a refined itame-hada with shirake-utsuri, and the hamon is a calm suguba with a bright nioiguchi and elegant nie activity. It exhibits the classic characteristics of the school, closely resembling the Rai style. The koshirae is also well-coordinated with high-quality shakudo fittings.
