【Product Description】 Blade Classification: Wakizashi Mei: Mumei (Den: Enju) Appraisal: NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon Token Nagasa: 45.4 cm Sori: 1.0 cm Motohaba: 2.8 cm Sakihaba: 2.0 cm Motokasane: 0.6 cm Sakikasane: 0.4 cm Mekugi-ana: 2 Weight: 415g (blade only) 【Description】 This is a magnificent wakizashi attributed to the Enju school of Higo Province. The Enju school was founded by Taro Kunimura, who moved from Yamashiro to Higo during the Kamakura period, and flourished as a branch of the Rai school. This blade exhibits a refined jitetsu with a dense ko-itame grain, combined with a gentle suguba hamon, characteristic of the elegant Yamashiro style inherited by the Enju smiths. The koshirae is a high-quality set featuring: Fuchi-kashira: Shakudo-nanako ground with autumn insects in takabori and iro-e. Menuki: Shakudo-nanako ground with floral motifs. Tsuba: Iron ground with openwork (sukashi) design. Saya: Black roiro lacquer finish. The blade is in excellent condition with no major flaws or defects.
