The Enju school was founded by Taro Kunimura, who moved from Yamashiro to Higo during the Kamakura period, and flourished as a branch of the Rai school. This blade exhibits a refined jitetsu with a dense ko-itame grain, combined with a gentle suguba hamon, characteristic of the elegant Yamashiro style inherited by the Enju smiths. The koshirae is a high-quality set featuring: Fuchi-kashira: Shakudo-nanako ground with autumn insects in takabori and iro-e. Menuki: Shakudo-nanako ground with floral motifs. Tsuba: Iron ground with openwork (sukashi) design. Saya: Black roiro lacquer finish. The blade is in excellent condition with no major flaws or defects. It is a highly recommended piece for collectors of Higo-mono or Rai-influenced works. 【Accessories】 Shirasaya, Koshirae, NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon certificate, Sword bag.
