This is an unsigned (mumei) tanto from the mid-Edo period (18th century), measuring 23 cm. It features a hira-zukuri construction with an iori-mune, well-worked ko-itame jigane, and a chū-suguha hamon with kinsuji. The blade is freshly polished, in excellent condition, and housed in a plain wood shirasaya.
