This is an unsigned (mumei) tanto, identified as a Hananata (華鉈) type blade, made in the late Muromachi to early Edo period. It features a unique katakiriba-zukuri construction with a deep uchizori and a distinctive crescent-shaped pattern carved on one side. The blade is attributed to the Mino school, known for its excellent forging and hamon, and comes with an elaborate koshirae featuring cloud motifs and a unique turtle shell-like tsuka-ito.
