This stylish aikuchi wakizashi koshirae, likely housing a Nanbokucho period Soshu blade, features a flat construction with a thin kasane and funazoko-nakago. The scabbard is wrapped in brocade with Tang flower and arabesque patterns, and the hilt is also wrapped in a different colored brocade. The fittings are made of oborogin (shakudo-like alloy) with a stone-like texture, boldly carved with arabesque flower motifs in katakiribori, enhanced by gold kozuka on the fuchi-kashira, kuchigane, uragawara, and kojiri. The menuki also depict matching floral designs in oborogin iro-e.
