Description

This is a wakizashi koshirae (sword mounting) featuring a fish theme. The koshirae includes fuchi/kashira depicting beltfish, menuki with fish designs, and a kozuka showing fish caught in an old style. The tsuba is signed Hiroyoshi from the Uchikoshi school of Mito and depicts a cormorant fisherman.
