This tsuba depicts the Soga Monogatari (Tale of the Soga Brothers), a famous tale of revenge. It was made by Sekiyoshi Noru, who was from Mutsu and became a skilled craftsman in Edo. The tsuba is made of shakudo with gold and silver inlay and dates to the late Edo period.
